What we recovered, and what remains
A retrospective fleet recovery log separating merged source milestones from deployment and public verification.
This retrospective covers the August 30, 2026 checkpoint. It was prepared after the event; its metadata and RSS entry record the actual first-publication time rather than the event date.
August 30 marked a useful checkpoint in the reconstruction of the Bosun PKM fleet. It was not a public launch. It was the point at which several pieces of source history had been consolidated, reviewed, or prepared for deployment with a clearer record of what the evidence supports.
Work merged by this checkpoint
The Bosun PKM repository incorporated recovery work for the FreENEXt, FreeMyData, and FreeMyRecipes code paths. Follow-up changes aligned static deployment layouts, repaired browser-test assumptions, strengthened public-copy checks, and corrected the recipe client module wiring.
That recovery was also propagated into the standalone FreENEXt repository. Those source changes were merged, and code-level validation passed on the intended server environment.
Elsewhere in the fleet, consolidation work for Aegis, Harbor Addons, and AP Multitool had been merged. Fleet Mirror’s code was merged as well.
These are source-control milestones, not claims that every corresponding product or service was publicly available.
What remained open
The candidate portability-tool changes had not been deployed to production. Exact-artifact staging was blocked when the protected deployment job could not start, so the public pages had not been proven to match the merged source.
Fleet Mirror was not deployed. Several other fleet consolidations remained in progress. Public behavior for recipe-export archive migration, including Yummly exports, had not been verified. We also had not established evidence for broad format coverage or reliable round trips across tools.
That distinction is important: merged code tells us what is available for review. Deployment evidence and public tests tell us what people can rely on.
Following the work
We are preparing a community testing process around real exports and reproducible results. Future testing invitations will focus on specific formats and workflows, with known limits stated alongside them.
If you would like to follow the reconstruction, suggest a troublesome export, or take part when a verified test build is ready, join the Bosun PKM Discord.
We will keep using these recovery notes to record both progress and unfinished work. The aim is not to make the fleet sound complete. It is to make each next claim easier to verify.
